Friday Afternoon

Hi Everyone,

Dad is now officially off the ventilator and breathing on his own again. He is more alert and awake, but is still pretty loopy from the medicine he's on. He's seeing things and doesn't remember things very well. Our next chore will be repeatedly reminding him of what has happened and what's going on, getting slowly more detailed as time goes on.

He is doing well and we're hopeful that this bump in the road (or perhaps a Himalaya?) will be the last for a while.

Thanks for all your kind words, they have been something to focus on while we sit here in the hospital and have truly been appreciated.

As always, we'll keep you posted.

Haverly

Hey Frazier--I thing we're all a bit loopy as we follow your Dad's progress! Thank God he's so strong and resilient. All the best from each of the Goggins.

As others as have said, Thank You so much for keeping us updated on Dean's recovery. The journey has taken a few detours but the medical team and Dean got back on the road again. Someone might want to put a Superman symbol on Dean's door or chest. He is amazing. It's a good sign that he is checking out the tubes and wanting to know what they are all about. If he gets ornery, we'll know he's ready to assume control. Stay strong. Take care of yourselves also.

Awake and asking what the heck has been going on. That's good news.
Keep it coming.
