Good morning everyone,
It's about 11:30am and my mom and I are here at the hospital now. Dad is sitting up in his chair and was finishing his breakfast. His throat is raw from having the ventilator in and taken out so he does have some trouble eating certain things, but his appetite seems to be pretty good.
He was scheduled to have a bronchoscophy this morning to help remove any congestion in his lungs, however, they determined that his lungs were clear and he didn't need it. He does have some fluid in his lungs but they are treating that with diuretics instead. That is good news indeed!
Later this afternoon they will let him walk around the floor a bit, he is ready to get moving!
He is still in ICU but we will keep you updated as to when he might be moving up to the transplant floor.
Thanks!
