Hi everyone,
Dad continues to improve, he is still out of it but is slowly coming off the sedation. He's now responding to us again a little bit. His heart and lungs seem to be behaving well and he's producing more urine and fluid through dilation which is a good sign for his kidneys. The next task is to try and get him off the ventilator, but that probably won't happen today. They need him to be more awake and able to breathe on his own for that to happen.
On another note, we've added a Sitemeter to the blog (something I should have done originally!) so that we can see who is visiting and from where. More for Frazier and I than anything else, but you can click it at the bottom of the page to see for yourselves.

The news about Dean allows us to breathe a sigh of relief. We understand there is a long road ahead but Dean will get there one step at a time. Continued prayers and positive energy from us to all of you. You remain in our hearts. Kathy and Chip
