Good morning. As a friend of mine said, be thankful for the smooth transition of government, which some countries do not have at all.
Dad did not have any major issues last night. He did vomit over the weekend, then aspirated, causing pneumonia in his new lung. Right now the issue is that the ventilator is set for the new lung and it's causing issues with the old lung. There was talk during morning rounds of a dual-tube so that each lung can be controlled seperately from each other.
The kidney doc says nothing new in regards to the dialysis. His blood pressure being more stable is helping his kidneys heal but he hasn't passed much urine which is the ultimate goal.
He still isn't passing gas which is causing his stomach to remain distended and tender. The surgeons have begun showing up more often in anticipation of their involvement.
That's all I have for now. Dad will get another bronchoscopy today to suck out more gunk out of his lung in an effort to deal with the pneumonia. Until next time...
