Tuesday morning

Hey everyone.

I just left dad and he is in good spirits. He was able to get about 5 hours of good sleep last night. It seems to have helped some of the anxiety he was feeling last night when I got to his room. According to his nurse du jour, the steroids he is receiving are the source of his hallucinations. Obviously, because they are part of the anti-rejection regimen, this isn´t something they will likely change. Part of the problem might also be sleep deprivation, so hopefully tonight is the beginning of more sleep for him.

The first doctor that came in today said that dad is producing healthy amounts of urine which would indicate kidney function. This translates into him getting off the dialysis machine, another big milestone in his recovery.

That´s all the news that´s fit to print. Mom will have to take over the blog until Thursday.

The steroids. Yea gads! I know a little of what he is going through with the unsettling emotions. Steroids can be a real double edged sword. You all remain in everyone's thoghts and prayers. We are enyoing reading Wyatt and Owens postings. How adorable are they! Ever thankful.
