Bill has asked me to post a message to all of you directly from him. He thanks you for all of your blog visits and comments. Reducing the number of phone calls and emails helps him by not having to rehash Dean's condition over and over.
Dean's transplant has included many large and small decisions that were expected, and yet, unanticipated in their seriousness. When Bill leaves the hospital he returns home drained and desiring solitude. Your many invitations for drinks and dinner are greatly appreciated and, at a later time, he will take you up on them. Right now he prefers to go home and process the day's events.
Many of you are very concerned about Bill's well-being. He wants you to know that he is eating right, sleeping well, and keeping himself busy with the move to the Pinnacle. He has a house to sell, packing to do, and planning for Dean's return home.
Once Dean is able to have calls and emails, Bill will give him access to his computer and cell phone. Until then, please continue to visit the blog frequently. Linda

Thank you Linda & Bill for your honest & kind comments. We totally understand and appreciate all that Dean & you are going through. So we're happy that Dean is improving, too slow for him we know, and gladly await the news when he's well enough to return home. And even then, you'll let us know when to visit so we don't 'bombard' him too soon!
Love to all,
Rollie & Richard

Thank you, thank you for keeping us up to date on this blog. I must say we check it daily, and sometimes several times daily. We just keep positive thoughts and know things seems to be looking up. Bill, I'm glad you are doing everything needed to take care of you. We just talked about how we could help you, so hope that when things calm a bit, you will let us take you to dinner or bring you dinner or at least bring you a big bottle of wine to drink!! You can drink Dean's share as well.
Love to all of you, and thanks for keeping us posted.
Muriel and Sue

"...he is cranky, wants food, wants to get up out of bed,...."
This is sweet news and exactly what we want to hear now.
Like others have said, thanks for telling us how we can help.
You are such a dynamic and supportive team for Dean and each other. Much love.
Lois
Each day, the Corpus Christi Crew checks to see how Dean is doing...and it's good to know that Bill is taking care of himself, too.
Technology is a blessing, and we are so thankful that you remember those who love Dean by updating us everyday with this blog.
As others have said, know that all good wishes and prayers are winging their way to each of you...Dean, Bill, Linda, Haverly, and Frazier.
Scott from Corpus Christi
Hi Linda,
Thank you for letting us all know about Bill. I have been very concerned so it is good to know he is doing as well as he can. Please pass along my good wishes. My same good wishes go to you, too. And, to Dean, my sincere wishes for continued progress and patience. I keep track daily and will continue to do so.
Hugs to All,
Bonnie
Good morning Dean,
Thinking of you today...

Hi Grandpa I realy want to see you, but we can't get over our sickness. I heard they are going to move you to another room. I can't wait until you can read all the commits that everyone has posted, and I hope they make you happy. I can't wait until you are out of the hospital
Love Wyatt
Good evening,
I'm happy to hear that Dean is continuing to make progress. I'm also glad to hear that Dean's family is taking care of themselves as well. It's a tough, but critical balancing act. Dean will need everyone to be strong when it's time to go home.
Thank you so much for the Blog. I, like many others, greatly appreciate the daily updates.
Take care,
Janice
