Mom just called to let me know that Dad is out of surgery now and is back resting in his room in the ICU. She said it went well, but is on her way to the hospital now so may have more details to add later.

Happy to hear the surgery went well and even happier to know that no additional surgeries are on Dean's agenda.
Thanks for the updates. I check almost every day - it's on my calendar: 1. check state school funding estimates 2. check Dean's blog. Fortunately, Dean's news is much better!

Hi Grandpa I realy realy realy want to see you bad! I heard you got a pace maker and I heard it's put under you skin and it helps you heat beat the right way. Mom showed me pictures. Mom said in a couple of week we might be able to see you. I can't wait!
