We had the birthday celebration!!
Dean received phone calls from Haverly, Frazier, Wyatt, Owen and his older brother Walter. Then we showed him all the birthday cards. We shared the large musical cards, and then Dean sat at the side of his bed. He was able to do it without any support from the nurses!!!!!! Your prayers worked! Linda and Bill

Happy Birthday Dean! We're so glad you enjoyed your birthday celebration & all the cards. We're a bit late getting home, but we're going to raise a glass soon to toast your birthday & a healthy year ahead.
Much love to you & family,
Richard & Rollie
We celebrated your birthday by toasting you in Sedona, AZ. Happy, Happy Birthday!

Happy happy birthday! We only wish you would have been with us at Benny's to celebrate your day. We felt it was the most appropriate spot to toast to Dean since he introduced and we have had many other celebrations there. This just means you will have to have a speedy recovery so we can celebrate soon. We love you and may your 65th year be your best year. Love, Kay and Andy
Happy Birthday Dean

Muriel and I raised our glass and celebrated your 65th and my son Joel's 30th. It was truly a special day! Can't wait to celebrate many more with you in person!

John and i were SO sorry we couldn't be there for #65. But we have our ways to celebrate in the future; stay tuned.
What an impressive array of cards. It seems that Dean almost single handedly wiped out the Postal Service deficit for March!
Much Love,
Chuck
Love to you, Dean!

Dean....I just got back to town and realize that your birthday card is still on my dining room table! As my grandpa would say, "We is all getting older!" :)
I have missed you and I follow your blog religiously. I'm so glad Bill, Linda, Haverly and all of your family are soooo good about posting info1
I'm sure by now the nurses are getting their fill of you so we must get you on the mend and out of there!
Nadine and I still want to come see you and smuggle some good vino in there! Medicinal, right?
At any rate, you are loved so behave yourself, take care of yourself and be good to yourself.

We were thinking of you on your big day. Emma raised her sippy cup in celebration!
Love,
Jen and Kevin
It is so appropriate that your stack of birthday cards is larger than one that fits in one sanpshot! Great to get the whole video. You deserve all of them given the 100's and 100's of kind notes and best wishes you've sent over the years.
Leave it to you Damon's and extended family members to think of others in the middle of all of your "stuff".
My brother went home from the hospital a day and a half after giving our sister his kidney. He wouldn't leave though before wandering up and down the halls in the hospital looking for his sister so that he could wish her well. He is an amazing human being.
My sister went home three days after receiving her new kidney...and both are recovering so smoothly. We are lucky.
So glad that you are getting stronger and stronger, Dean. love, love, love, Rosanne
PS The Easter Bunny (at the mall) wants to deliver your treats to you...but not in the ICU. What are the chances that she'll/he'll get her wish?
Happy Birthday Thinking of you ....
Michelle and Kent....
Happy Birthday, Deanster! we're in WallaWalla Washinton drinking to your health
