Friday night

Hi all,

I'm back at the hospital and will stay with Dad tonight. Mom, Bill and I enjoyed a dinner of grilled cheese with tomatoes and red wine/champagne. Pretty good stuff!

Dad's alert, still pretty confused on some stuff, but is starting to remember more of what we've told him over the course of the day.

Hopefully he'll be able to rest tonight. They are changing his sheets and he just gave a nice loud cough, louder than I've heard him do in a while. That's a good sign and they try to encourage him to cough so hopefully it will help him cough up any stuff in the lungs.

I'll be listening for the cough tonight!

Haverly

I hope you were both able to sleep last night. It's amazing how precious a sound like a cough can be. Thanks again for the updates!

Our Dearest Haverly:

I hope both you and your very brave dad had a restful night full of coughs that will only make the new lung stronger and stronger.

We love you, maybe we will go visit the your lonely boys today at the apt, visiting cats on a cold Chicago day....lets how much we love you.

Please give Linda a big hug for us.

Love,

Woody and James

Haverly, Frazier, Linda, Bill,
YEA to the simple pleasures of life; a glass of wine for you and a cough for Dean. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for the three of you as the days progress. HUGS Sue and Muriel
