Good News: I just got a text from Frazier who's with my dad now. Apparently my dad was off oxygen for about an hour today. Believe me, it's been a while since that happened so very good news!

That is truly wonderful news. Have to sneak in a "best wishes" before Wyatt leaves a post that makes everything anyone else could say entirely inadequate.
Keep getting stronger! And don't forget to rest too.
Dean, This is such wonderful news. Keep up the great recovery. I'm checking the posting every day and am reveling in the good news. Thank you and Haverly for sharing with us. Lois
This is AWESOME news! I, too, am checking in everyday and am so thankful for the updates...and for your speedy recovery! It sounds as though you are doing splendidly!
All of us in Corpus send much love and good wishes to you!!!
Go Dean Go. You'll be able to swim to Norwegian Bay next trip to Green Lake. You can do a warm up in Pikes Peak marathon. We are all thankful that you are doing so well, talk about a wonderful life.
Hi Grandpa it's Wyatt. My class is wanting to see you with no oxyegen tank! I hope your feeling good, and I can't wait to see you. Mommy said we get to see you next friday. Love Wyatt
Fabulous news! Thank you all for continuing to post updates. It's great to read about Dean's wonderful progress. Look forward to reading more good news. Barbara Ross
Glad to see you are surrounded by loved ones. We heard you are doing well (via Chip and Kathy); so glad to know that. We think of you often. Love, Jennie, Kevin, and Emma ;)
Dean and Bill, Wow-no oxygen! You'll be even harder to keep track of with this new lung and new freedom than ever before! We love you both and hope to lay eyes on both of you when we get the green light for visitation.
Dean: I am still telling everybody I see about my Denver friend who JUST GOT A NEW LUNG! They're as thrilled as I am--which is a lot of thrill. I'm so excited for you . . . and looking forward to seeing you with no oxygen equipment next time I hit Colorado. All the best--to you and to Bill. Hugs, Mary
I know we've been quiet up 'till now (blog-wise) but believe me we have been keeping track of your progress and thinking of you every day. The news has been great, congratulations.
David and I are thinking about you and are happy to get some of the detail and of course the good reports. Is Dean a non-fiction or fiction reader? Does he ready non-business/education material? I am reading The Schools We Need and Why We Don't Have Them (Hirsch) and finding it very informative. I suspect this is old news to Dean, but armed with some small amount of new knowldge, I will be dangerous when we get to talk in the future! We look forward to that day. In the meantime we will ceck in to get more reports. Alice and David Bullwinkle
What wonderful news! It is so hard to believe the progress you have made in one week. Just think what lies ahead. Andy and I read the blog everyday and are amazed. Here's to continued good health and more time without the oxygen tank. Kay and Andy Shaw
Even though I don't speak for the entire state of Maine, I can say that your recovery is being feared by the many lobsters that know they will be on your plate when you return this coming summer. Wishing you health and wellness and of course my love. -Wes
