Good News: I just got a text from Frazier who's with my dad now. Apparently my dad was off oxygen for about an hour today. Believe me, it's been a while since that happened so very good news!

That is truly wonderful news. Have to sneak in a "best wishes" before Wyatt leaves a post that makes everything anyone else could say entirely inadequate.

Keep getting stronger! And don't forget to rest too.

Dean and Bill,
Wow-no oxygen! You'll be even harder to keep track of with this new lung and new freedom than ever before! We love you both and hope to lay eyes on both of you when we get the green light for visitation.

Improvement in measured steps... sounds like success to us, my friend!! Rest well with no commitments.

Dean:
I am still telling everybody I see about my Denver friend who JUST GOT A NEW LUNG! They're as thrilled as I am--which is a lot of thrill. I'm so excited for you . . . and looking forward to seeing you with no oxygen equipment next time I hit Colorado. All the best--to you and to Bill. Hugs, Mary

Hi Dean,

I know we've been quiet up 'till now (blog-wise) but believe me we have been keeping track of your progress and thinking of you every day. The news has been great, congratulations.

David and I are thinking about you and are happy to get some of the detail and of course the good reports. Is Dean a non-fiction or fiction reader? Does he ready non-business/education material? I am reading The Schools We Need and Why We Don't Have Them (Hirsch) and finding it very informative. I suspect this is old news to Dean, but armed with some small amount of new knowldge, I will be dangerous when we get to talk in the future! We look forward to that day. In the meantime we will ceck in to get more reports.

What wonderful news! It is so hard to believe the progress you have made in one week. Just think what lies ahead. Andy and I read the blog everyday and are amazed. Here's to continued good health and more time without the oxygen tank.

Even though I don't speak for the entire state of Maine, I can say that your recovery is being feared by the many lobsters that know they will be on your plate when you return this coming summer. Wishing you health and wellness and of course my love. -Wes
