A Tiny UP

Yesterday Dean had a CAT scan to determine if there were any blood clots, bleeding spots, etc. The results are negative. Today, a drainage tube was inserted in his new lung. Bill reported that LOTS of fluid was removed. When we talked about 2:00 this afternoon, Dean was resting. His spirits are better today. this seems like a centimeter of improvement.

Tomorrow, Bill and I will finally meet with the doctor to review all the medical exams and procedures. Our medical vocabulary has grown by leaps and bounds. I can even repair the vent machine! I got a very specific demonstration by one of the Respiratory Therapists. We know how to read most of the monitors and can follow the tubing from Dean to one of the machines.

All of the staff has been just wonderful...even when they are not assigned to Dean, they stop by to say hello and check on him. They have been so encouraging to us. We cannot thank them enough. Please keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers.
