A Couple More Procedures

Everyone who has come into Dean's room has commented that he's looking good. He even is beginning to sleep more.

Tomorrow, Dean will undergo a couple of procedures. One is to reattach one of the wires of his pacemaker. The nurse explained that because of Dean's heart tissue and previous surgeries, the wire didn't attach correctly. The procedure is "surgery" and so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Another procedure has to do with Dean's right arm. It is more swollen than the other so they want to check that out. Hopefully that will be something easily corrected.

Every once in a while I bring the staff food. Today everything was green for St. Patrick's Day. Dr. McIntyre, Dean's general surgeon, jokingly said, "We don't eat green food here.' When I told Dean I brought green gummie bears, and green chips and quacamole I wish you could see the face he made. He really is on the mend.

Haverly is coming for the weekend, her spring break. We're looking forward to seeing her! Linda and Bill

If this were a tv movie, watching you all go through this, we would say "that couldn't happen in real life!" You all are amazing. We cannot find the word to express ourselves. We will continue to keep everyone in our thoughts and prayers. Much love. XXOO Kathy and Chip
