Native Lung vs New Lung

As we progress along the transplant road, Bill and I continue to learn all kinds of things. You read about the huge amount of fluid in Dean's native (old) lung. It seems that in transplant situations, sometimes the native lung and the new lung operate separately, unlike two native lungs. And sometimes, they are working against each other. Dean seems to be experiencing this.

This week, Bill and I will meet with Dean's doctors for another futures prognostication. What are they thinking? What can we expect in the near future? We'll include you in the update after it occurs.

Take care and have a good week. Linda and Bill

Hello All,
WOW...it is so hard to know what to say at this point. Obviously, you understand. Just when you think you have a handle on the medical situation, it changes! Hopefully the doctors will know how to adjust to the new information and be able to help Dean's condition move in a positive direction again. As always, our hopes and thoughts are with all of you. Hugs and Love
